Sponsored Review: Herbal-Basic TCM Clinic

I am sorry my updates have been delayed recently.

Here's a review on a very special TCM clinic, its not just any normal TCM clinic you see everywhere else. This clinic has got some really special treatments and the only one in Singapore that has them!

Andres was really lucky to be able to get invited to try out some of their treatment. Well, we do have to thank Nicole, from Street Directory for the offer though. I rejected a event because Andres caught a flu. Therefore, this review came in just at the right time!

When we entered the clinic we got a shock! There was quite a number of parents and kids in the clinic. It actually made hubby and I felt relief and the trust was already built even when we have not met the staffs! Its natural, when you see that so many parents bring their kids to the clinic, it must have meant that the services and treatments must be of authenticity and works. Maybe not to all, but at least I really did felt it that way.

Well, let's move on!

There were some glass panels displaying some of the items to purchase.
Most of them were so special and I bet you would not have heard it before.

They have this anti-diarrhea cream and fever massage water, all for kids. Its so amazing. I forgot to ask for some for safekeeping!

Snap this down, for Nasal Allergies or Cough, do try to avoid letting your kids take them!

Well, we first have to diagnose Andres' problem before they can prescribe any kind of treatments that is suitable for him!

Both Mommy and Daddy has sinus, and for me, its a serious one where I did my first surgery back when I was only 4 years old!

Therefore, its no doubt Andres has inherit our genes.
And it is confirmed he do have an allergy.

Thus the treatment that Andres was going to was the TCM Pediatric Massage and Nose Spa (One and only in Singapore!!)

There was many rooms there so we were brought to the massage room first to have his massage before he goes for the Nose Spa Therapy.

TCM Pediatric Massage is a unique therapy for children, derived from Traditional Chinese Medical studies. It is a time-tested therapy proven to be effective to strengthen children’s immune system, improve their health conditions, and promote body & brain development.

The therapy is most effective for children from birth to 7 years old; with a general rule of the younger the age, the better the treatment effect. It can be applied on a wide range of childhood ailments, such as colds, fever, cough, colic, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, indigestion, poor appetite, ADHD, among others.

TCM Pediatric Massage is a non-invasive Natural Therapy which is safe, suitable and easily acceptable by children. Actual results had shown that children who received the therapy since early infant stage will in general grow STRONGER, HEALTHIER & SMARTER!

When we said that Andres likes Mickey Mouse, they kindly offered to look through their cds and indeed! They played it right away for Andres. Papa has to hold onto him as he is still young and not really stable.
The massage took only around 15-30 minutes, I was so busy distracting Andres and chatting with the staffs that I forgot. Oops :x

After which we were brought to another room. The Nose Spa Therapy room!
The room smells like lotsa of different Herbs together in one.

NoseSpa™ is a unique treatment for Rhinitis, researched & developed by Herbal-Basic Healthcare Group since 2003. It is a non-invasive therapy ideally designed for the use of natural herbs to guard against upper respiratory diseases such as Rhinitis and Sinusitis, by means of herbal inhalation.

Being an external natural therapy, NoseSpa™ is ‘Suitable’ and ‘Safe’ to be applied on patients from young children to elderly adults.

I had my part where I took over Papa and carried Andres to face the herbal mist!
And.... I actually sneezed and felt it myself! It is said that while inhaling the herbal mist or after a while of sniffing it, its natural that mucous starts to flow out.. its like.. removing the bacteria first.

Andres and I both had our nose runny for a while!
True that!

Andres took the formula 1 as it was his first time and they said that formula 1 was to cleanse first.
  1. CLEANSING
    • Cleanse nasal cavities
    • Eliminate bacterial & germs
    • Reduce inflammation
    • Detox & Clear blocked nose

They do have many other treatments and one popular one is the Biolight Cough Therapy!

Bio-Light Cough Therapy is a unique healthcare innovation developed by Herbal-Basic, designed to relief cough for children through external therapy, without the need for oral medications.

The therapy consists of three simple steps:
1. Cough Massage Our professional therapist will first massage the chest and back of the child using Herbal-Basic’s proprietary-formulated herbal essential ointment.
2. Application of Medicated Cream A layer of the proprietary anti-cough medicated cream will be applied on the chest of the child after the massage.
3. Photo Dynamic Therapy The child will then lie down on the bed and let the PDT Bio-Light shine on the chest, to optimize the penetration of the ointment and cream into the child’s body.

Lights are very dim in the shop, really cosy actually, first impression might seem kinda scary, but fret not, everyone's so friendly in here and the service is really great!

While waiting for my masseur. Very excited!!

Chrysanthemum tea served to me before and also after my massage!

Thats my masseur and lady boss coco. Both Thai-but can speak chinese! So cute. Coco was so busy that day she haven even had lunch, so she gotten fruits.. imagine business must be good! haha! true indeed!

Tadah, since I opt for the oil massage, I have to take off all my clothes, no worries, no awkwardness with the masseur! They cover you up in few pieces of towel, so any part of your body that they massages, they pull the towel up and down.. you won't feel so exposed!! I didn't mind of course, been to massages for a few times already and I know they are all professionals!

Can you imagine she is already 50+ ?!
Super love her, her skills were awesome, I almost fell asleep if we didn't chat and laughed so much!

Thank you Street Directory, Haren, and Beauty World Thai Massage for this wonderful experience!

Morganfield's Bloggers VS Meat Party

Lets shout STICKY BONES!!!! What?
So... Pictures shall do most of the saying here.
Really happy to be a part of the blogger's event from Street Directory.
So we were all going to feast in this awesome Meat Partaye!!!!!

Preparation!!

One of the really friendly co-owner of Morganfield's came to welcome us.
Service was excellent and prompt. I love the ambience in there.

I ordered the Mojito. My kinda favourite drink if im not going to drink too much alcohol.
I got a liquor rush when i gulp the first mouthful down! I mean, its like.. omg, this is the REALLL MOJITO. Lol! Everything is so well balance.

Okay, here comes the sampler size lobster bisque ($9.90). Made from scratch.
Its super thick and packed with flavours. A little too salty for my liking, I've actually asked and realised it's because they usually pair it with bread. They were so thoughtful because they didn't want us to be too full from the food so they didn't serve us the bread.

Priscilla Darling!

Mushroom soup ($8.90) , i love this, lotsa mushroom bits, creamy and fragrant.

Here comes the salad!

Summer Salad ($15.90). Really nice to have diced watermelons in your salad, I mean.. salads should be refreshing right?! (:
I love the feta cheese too! It's not your usual salad but this salad is really refreshing, kinda unique in the sense. Probably the sauce!

Ahh.. don't belittle this. Looks and sound really simple but it was one of all our favourite on the table.
Popcorn Pork ($8.90). It would really do without the home made sauces actually. I love it just on its own already! You never need sauces if its real good food!

I was being pushed by Haren to join the competition, but I insist that I just delivered my baby not long ago and I must be on diet. Haha!
Besides, I was never a fan of ribs... until I tasted theirs. Read on.

All the very steady ladies who were in pair and have to compete to see which group finishes first!

So smart. Really.
The criteria was that the plate with the most clean bones get to win.
This lady manage to figure out upon her first pull of the meat, yes they have to eat with their bare hands!!!
That the meat was so tender, the bones just slided out. She was very smart and alert, so she just went ahead to pull the rest of the bones out. Amazing, I couldn't wait to bite into these ribs once I saw what she did. It just proved that the meat is going to be so yummy...

Very helpful staff who put on my apron for me. Hehe.

The truth is, my Dad's a fish monger. I am very sensitive to taste/smell of fishes, especially if i dine outside, I would say I will/almost never order/try any fish dish when I'm out.
But for a Blogger event, I had to try.
I was surprised. Actually... really surprised. I LOVE THIS DISH!

Pan-fried Seabass ($26.90) topped with Hollandaise Sauce
Pan fried to a really nice crisp and soft and tender in the inside. Omg I want to eat this again!

Ocean Feast Platter ($113.90)

Morganfield's was really GENEROUS. Seriously, a plate like this could fill all of us up I guess, after all the above food mentioned, right? But NO. They gave us 3 platters. At that moment I felt quite guilty cos I know we wouldn't be able to finish them!

There was 2 more platter but I was chatting with streetdirectory's staffs so before I could get back to snap some pictures, can you imagine?! They were like half emptied. Haha must've been good to be gone so quickly!
Carnivore Platter ($89.90)
Morgan's rib sampler ($119.90)

Many people would irk at the thought of a vegetable sandwich.
Please. Just order this when you are there. The Grilled Vegetable Sandwich. ($19.90)
I LOVE THIS TOOO. LOL okay I really mean it. I do.

We were all too full from everything but enjoying every moment. Dinner was awesome and everyone was just so happy that night. How can you miss dessert?
Well, there's always room for dessert ya?

I TELL YOU. THIS is the BEST chocolate lava cake I ever had! Word that!
Go try! And the ice cream, its perfect for me, the vanilla in it. Gosh.
.

A big thank you to Morganfield's and Street Directory for this awesome Blogger's event!
